New Gen and Making Waves will join hundreds of young people to raise Snape Maltings' Concert Hall roof and celebrate the power of music on Saturday 16th March at 7pm.
New Gen and Making Waves, our youth music projects delievered in partnership with Out Loud Music, will be collaborating for the first time! Working with Making Waves tutors, Georgie and Ben, the young people will be creating songs for the celebration performance.
We're excited to see them shine on such a prestigious and iconic stage at Snape Maltings!
Snape Maltings' 'Celebration' is an annual event showcasing local young musical talent through a week of performances. It brings together schools and community groups with musicians and community leaders at Britten Pears Arts to devise their varied programmes.
New Gen were lucky enough to take part in the Celebration previously, in 2022, supporting each other as a group, and putting on a fantastic performance.
“The day was one of a kind and unique.” - Nathan, New Gen Member
Why not come along and show your support this year - we'd love to see you there. Book your tickets today!
Snape Maltings is famous for the Snape Maltings Concert Hall, established by Benjamin Britten, and opened by HM Queen Elizabeth in 1967.
