SELT | SECURE ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTS

Ipswich Community Media is an authorised and listed Trinity College approved service provider for those who want to apply for a SELT (Secure English Language Test), that is approved for UK Visa applications.
 

We are very pleased to be offering a new SELT preparation course, to take place at our premesis in Ipswich. This course is intended to fully prepare learners for sitting a Secure English Language Test (SELT), Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE), at an appropriate level, A1, A2 or B1, as approved for applications to UKVI for visas, Leave to Remain and British Citizenship.

 

Please note that learners will need to make their own arrangements to take their exam at the most convenient Trinity London SELT centre for them.

Learners will develop and practise the following speaking and listening skills:

​

  • Responding appropriately to questions from the examiner

  • Giving information about a prepared topic

  • Participating in an informal discussion

  • Clarifying points and giving reasons 

 

The course will provide learners with the following:

​

  • Learning materials and resources based on the test

  • Tuition from qualified teachers 

  • A mock test based on actual Trinity exam

Our SELT courses are delivered by our Integration Team who run all of our ESOL classes, offering a safe and welcoming learning environment.

Our qualified tutors cover speaking and listening, reading, writing, as well as the vocabulary, grammar and functional language needed for everyday life in the UK.

Our friendly team is mostly made up of migrants from a range of diverse backgrounds. Each member of our team is highly skilled and has extensive experience working with different communities.

Fees and payment
  • A Deposit of £50 applies to all courses.
  • Fees are paid in full at least 14 days before the start of the course. 
  • For bookings received later than 14 days before the start of the course, payment must be made in full.
     
Cancellations
To cancel a course booking, you must inform us, either by:
Refunds
  • Cancellations received earlier than 14 days before the start date of the course will receive a refund of any fees paid minus the Deposit.
  • Cancellations received later than 14 days before the start date of the course will not be eligible for a refund.
